After attempting to hold off the writing of Blog entries for a day and therefore the addiction of writing them im back for another try.
this weekend
doesn't seem promising if im honest. i have a lot of work to do to meet a deadline for one of my essays about privacy laws in the UK. i dont mind the topic but it has taken me an unacceptable amount of time and resulted in me being a hermit. Other people have their plans, Simon is on placement, Ben has his good friend Beskeen visiting, everyone is going out tonight. should have done this work earlier.
the prank war
so a prank war of sorts has erupted. after extensive egging of Carls window and other such pranks i came home after a lecture today to find my room covered in Giles' clothes. my room smelt of cigarettes and general bad smell just by their presence. the war is on i tell you...the pants on the desk were the last straw man.
music
i have been listening to Boards of Canada - Music Has the Right to Children a lot and enjoying it. it might be their best album. for those who arent familiar with BOC they make sweeping music similar to melodic aphex twin but a lot better. Bowerbirds - Hymns For a Dark Horse has dominated the moments when i have needed something with a vague structure and/or vocals.
NBA
a suprisingly big trade went down about five minutes before the deadline at 3.pm on thursday involving eleven players and three teams. of note Cleveland Cavaliers get from the Bulls Ben Wallace (a member of the 2004 Detroit championship team) Joe Smith, from the Sonics Wally Szcerbiak and DeLonte West and give up Donyell Marshall Drew Gooden and Larry Hughes Shannon Brown and someone else who i cant remember. Cleveland trade away like half of their team which is quite something. Ben Wallace will play well with LeBron James but i dont know about losing Gooden and all those role players. In DeLonte West they get a point guard a well documented hole in the Cleveland team. I would comment on Seattles involvement in this but they are just selling contracts waiting for some cap space to sign a star in 2009. they will take anyone who earns less money. fair enough.
On another note Tyler Hansbrough of the UNC tar heels for college player of the year.
blogging
since starting this some of my friends have started theirs, check them out. Toms is particularly funny today with his ideas to rob a bank.
must go its eat o clock.

Okay, so as you know, I was partially to blame for that prank. Apologies!
As for Bowerbirds, they are awesome!
