Holistic

I feel that my blog is dying. this may be due to the fact that at the moment i can usually be found immersed in law books with despair attempting to meet deadlines resulting in low capacity for thinking about anything else apart from the privacy laws in the UK that give protection to the individual or co ownership of land.

anyway... to the point alex.

Im reading a chapter on proprietary estoppel in my Land Law book (a subject that Tom finds amusing) its not interesting but i come accross the word Holistic. i dont know this word so i do the old define:holistic in google. at this point those of you who know everything about the word holistic should click the red X at the top right. (im lookin' at you Byrne) p.s jokes. please keep reading jane.

as a side note i hate the whole thing the americans are starting with dictionary definitions as a starting point for an advert or to get a point accross for example ->

it really irritates me.

anyway.. back to my point as i realise this post is turning out a bit long. someone at Oregon State University defined Holistic as "no dimension of culture can be understood in isolation, cultures are integrated wholes."

does anybody else think that is brilliant. that really strikes a chord with me. and were not just talking about culture as in society or culture as in the red dress that a chinese woman might wear. although these are valid examples; you couldnt understand Kev's without understanding where they come from as in background...family...area of bringing up... or just understanding their will to rebel or whatever the hell it is they are doing.. just as relevant to this is the goth who probably is created by the Kevs in not being accepted etc etc.. you really could not understand any aspect of anything...musical movements or even a persons personality without seeing the bigger picture..background future aspirations things that have happened to them bad and good.
