Braille Wounds

Im back, its been about three weeks since my last post. oops. im supposed to be properly trying blogging. never mind..i wont be discouraged by a brief lapse in blog discipline. So i have returned home from university for the Easter break which is always dramatic, so thats interesting. driving about is quite fun. I have been wholly immersed in electronic music again... artists like Clark and Cepia, seriously just check my last.fm. I am captivated by Cepia - Natura Morta which i had to buy because i couldnt get a torrent. one of his song titles is Braille Wounds, i think this is genious... he is physically cutting himself whilst attempting to read braille? that suggests a far too aggressive method in my opinion. im still trying to work out what the song title means. ill get back to you.

On the topic of Last.fm - this week i scrobbled (software makes a note of what you are listening to and "scrobbles" it to the Last.fm website resulting in a comprehensive list of your listening habits) my seven thousandth track; a proud moment. The really interesting thing about Last.fm is that you think you are a fan of a specific artist or movement or genre of music but then when you look at how many times you listen to a different type of music it tells otherwise. Thus Boards of Canada, Joanna Newsom and Jenn Grant all reside in my top 5 although i would mention only one of those artists in a drunk house party conversation about what music i like.

By the way if you ever have a conversation with me about music and claim that you like "a bit of everything" you will notice a distinct shortening of the conversation by me resulting ultimately in my absence. 1 - you cannot claimed to have listened to every genre and musical movement and liked a bit of all of it. 2 - that means you like at least some unforgiveably dire music such as Akon. 3 - you give accross the impression that you dont really like music. To be fair if you dont like music that is fine.. a simple im not really into music that much would suffice. or a short listing of the few bands that you listen to will be fine. yes i am a music snob.

So another thing i have to mention in this blog in addition to my good friend Ben is extenuating circumstances at the University of Plymouth, particularly with reference to the psychology department. its fucking unacceptable to be giving out two week extensions all over the show for questionable reasons. As i have speculated with friends..under what circumstances are we required to do the work? i feel a bit tired...im a bit upset.. ive had a cold. oh thats fine - two week extension. You know what i mean? That is a significant advantage as in my experience difficulty is not usually the key, rather time constraints. im annoyed about that. everybody who reads this blog knows who im talking about. and its upsetting.
